VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE |
| |
Volunteers are valued members of the health care teams at Providence. Every year, they contribute over 100,000 hours of time and energy. Every day they make a difference to the lives of our patients and residents.
According to our volunteers, the rewards for their efforts are very positive:
“The patients and families appreciate the volunteers so much. It makes what you are doing feel so worthwhile."
"I thought I was coming here to help others. I had no idea I would get so much out of it myself."
"I made a resident smile by taking her out to the garden to pick flowers. She really enjoyed her time with me and I with her."
"One of the most valuable skills I gained from volunteering is leadership. This is where leadership skills are built and become stronger."
"Volunteering has widened my horizons more than any school or institution."
