WELCOME

Welcome Students & Trainees!

On behalf of the research community at Providence Health Care we want to welcome you to our "centre of learning."

Steeped in history, Providence Health Care and more specifically, St. Paul's Hospital, provides learning opportunities for students, post docs, residents and interns. St. Paul's Hospital is a teaching hospital and extension of the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus. Many of the researchers at Providence are faculty at UBC. Like many teaching hospitals, students and trainees like you are an essential component in the research process. Learners bring with them new ideas and enthusiasm as well as lots of questions.

Questions are the driving force behind research!

If we stopped asking questions we would stop learning, changing, and discovering better ways to help patients' lead healthier lives. The best way to learn more about Providence is to ask questions. So don't be shy!

Consider the Providence Research Vision Statement:

At the Providence Health Care Research Institute our vision is to dramatically improve the treatment and overall health of patients and residents at Providence Health Care and beyond through relevant, ethical and inspired health research.

As you can see from the Providence Research Vision our organization is deeply committed to searching for answers.

This section of the website has been designed to provide you with some tools to navigate your way around the hospital and the research process at Providence.

Sincerely,

The Knowledge Cycle Office
