Telehealth Services
Renal Program staff, physicians and patients now have access to a Telehealth videoconferencing system. Teleheath is the use of communication and information technology to deliver health services and exchange information face-to-face when distance separates the participants. Your PHC health provider can set this up for you, and may be able to accompany you to the videoconferencing session.
During your Telehealth session, you are able to "meet" with your health care providers in a private setting over a secure connection. Your session is not recorded or taped. You may be asked to provide personal or medical information during the Telehealth session which is collected for the purpose of your care and is kept confidential.
During your session, you can see, hear and talk to your health care provider. You may have a family member or friend with you.
