Mission & Mandate

Providence Health Care is one of the largest faith-based health care organizations in Canada, operating 14 sites in Vancouver, BC. Guided by the PHC principle of How You Want to Be Treated, our mission as a renal team is to work with patients and families to develop a care plan that focuses on wellness and maximum quality of life.

We strive to provide a comprehensive, compassionate approach to the care of people with kidney disease while recognizing the individual's needs and seeking the empowerment of each patient. Team members work to assist patients and their families to achieve the highest level of independence possible and support in coping with their disease.

The Renal Team also supports the implementation of research that contributes to clinical excellence in kidney care.
