Hemodialysis for Vancouver Visitors

The St. Paul's Hospital Hemodialysis Unit attempts to make dialysis treatment available to serve the needs of traveling dialysis patients.

This service is available to:

• British Columbians
• Out-of-province visitors
• International travelers

We also use many of our Community Dialysis Units to provide the service when appropriate and convenient for the traveler.

Accessing this service

Requests must be made in advance and are taken by the coordinator who determines our ability to accommodate the traveler's request.

Upon acceptance, the coordinator will provide a list of medical information that is required.

It is up to the dialysis visitor to ensure that all necessary information has been forwarded from the visitor's home dialysis unit at least two weeks prior to your arrival in Vancouver.
