Community Dialysis Units

Providence Health Care is responsible for operating 7 community dialysis units in Vancouver and the Coastal regions in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. These community dialysis units have greatly improved the ability to provide hemodialysis service to patients closer to home and minimize travel time. Patients who are medically suitable for community hemodialysis are referred by the Renal Program at either St. Paul's Hospital or Vancouver General Hospital.
