When kidneys no longer work properly, patients must receive either hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatment. The Peritoneal Dialysis program has an interdisciplinary team that provides care, education and follow-up to patients with chronic renal failure. The team at St. Paul's Hospital work with the patients and their families so they can learn how to do their own peritoneal dialysis at home. After training, patients come in for regular check-ups and receive ongoing support from our interdisciplinary team.

Hemodialysis Service for Travelers
