Providence Health Care Perioperative Nursing Program
This is a course for Registered Nurses (RNs) who want to specialize in perioperative nursing. It is offered as a combination of distance education, classroom sessions and clinical practice. All surgical specialties are covered such as general surgery, gynecology, plastics, urology, vascular and thoracic, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology and ear nose and throat (ENT).
The Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) has approved this program. Upon successful completion of the Program, graduates are awarded a Diploma in Perioperative Nursing and receive credits toward a baccalaureate degree.
