The Mental Health Program at St. Paul’s Hospital is launching a campaign, called Change the Labels, to challenge the stigma associated with mental illness and help patients and their families access the resources they need.
Providence and five patients launched a constitutional challenge to overturn a recent decision by the federal government that prevents the delivery of life-saving treatment to vulnerable addictions patients.
St. Paul’s Hospital is an acute care, teaching and research hospital located in downtown Vancouver. It is home to many world-class medical and surgical programs, including heart and lung services, HIV/AIDS, mental health, emergency, critical care, kidney care, elder care and numerous surgical specialties.

The Crosstown Clinic is an addictions clinic with an interdisciplinary team that cares for approximately 50 methadone/suboxone patients. The clinic is currently closed to admissions, except participants in the SALOME study.
St. Vincent’s Brock Fahrni is a long-term care home located on Vancouver’s west side. It is home to 148 residents, many of whom are armed forces veterans. Our programs are greatly enriched by our association with Veterans Affairs Canada, the Royal Canadian Legion and Army Navy Air Force Veterans in Canada.
St. Vincent’s: Langara is a complex care residential facility located in Vancouver. The residence is home to 197 residents from a variety of cultural backgrounds, as well as a specialized unit serving 20 adult mental health clients.
Marion Hospice closed in September 2013. Fundraising for a new 12 to 15 bed Marion Hospice is currently underway. Providence is now also operating the 12 bed St. John Hospice at UBC. Many of the existing Marion Hospice staff, physicians and volunteers have transitioned to this new facility. For more information about the fundraising effort click here.
Parking is limited at Windermere Care Centre. There are eight parking spaces on the west side of Windermere, each with a two-hour limit. There are two parking lots across from Vancouver General Hospital and street parking on side streets.
